Sobre nosotros
For 13 years, Spectrum Art Gallery in Osaka has engaged in planning art exhibitions and events aimed at revitalizing rural areas through art and promoting contemporary Japanese artists. As a contemporary art gallery, we have participated in several art fairs in the United States and Taiwan. Additionally, we have held annual exhibitions at the historic Buddhist temple Honenin in Kyoto. Drawing from these experiences, our representative art director, Kazari Kanemitsu, founded Sakura Arts & Crafts, a gallery dedicated to contemporary Japanese artisanal works. Having studied at the California College of Arts & Crafts in the United States, she has deeply considered the differences and commonalities between crafts and art. She believes that the balance between an artist's intention and their supporting techniques is crucial. To her, there is no stark distinction between the two, but rather a continuum. As a result, our mission is to promote the high-quality works of artists and artisans who uphold this essential balance at a high level.
